20 July 1999
To all JOLDTS attendees....
1.
As promised attached is Gen Bambrough's professional
reading list (done as word 6.0-I hope).
2. I
would like to know your thoughts on the Saturday outdoor
exercises. I would appreciate having your personal "top
5". Please email them to me-and any recommendations
on how to do the field day next time.
3.
Also, I am still working the feedback sheets. Good
comments-thanks to all for your kind thoughts and suggestions.
The second time around is always easier "been there and
done that,” means an awful lot. So, your ideas and
suggestions will be worked into future JO seminars. The
next event will be the traditional Reserve Components Junior
Officer Professional Development Seminar (RCJOPDS)- which is
now in its 15th season-to be held in conjunction with the
ROA's Mid-Winter Conference in Washington DC 23-26 January
2000. Details will be published in the ROA's THE OFFICER
Magazine, as well as be on the ROA's web page (www.roa.org)
and specific participation details will be sent out by the
respective services.
4.
Don't forget that ROA members are eligible for the Henry J.
Reilly memorial Graduate scholarships. There were 35
recipients this year out of approximately 40 applicants-not
bad odds!
5. I
am using the email address you provided when registering.
If you would like a different e-mail address used for future
"Anaheim Alumni" updates, please advise.
Anaheim
was a "Super Hooah"-and you made it that way!
From our
Port Orchard Washington home where most of my still
packed boxes remain packed...

Got
a 911 question, please call 360-895-2720.
P.S. Think
about those "A Reservist's Top 10 Rules of
Engagement" from time to time.
